On my first day of work for my new site I was sent to a park a good two ours away. I was sent with my mentor Phil Hoffman and another worker in the teck department I know only as mike. We went to this particular park to test a new Wi-Fi system that we are putting in the parks.
Upon our arrival to the park we were greeted by the empty computer room. It was inside another building (I’m not going to say which one incase someone tries to break in). Luckily for us the people in there last were kind enough to leave a small electric heater on for us. The Wi-Fi system wasn’t working for some reason on the new windows vista. In effect anyone with a new computer or anyone trying to use this in 2 years wouldn’t be able to use the internet.
We couldn’t figure out what was wrong with the system and when the company that installed it came they had to take 5 hours to work with the code to fix the problem. The simplified version of the problem was that there was an extra prompt that vista didn’t have, but earlier versions did have.
